WHAT IS A SMART TAG?

A Made with Corazón Smart Tag is a pet ID tag equipped with NFC technology that connects to your pet’s digital profile when tapped with a compatible smartphone.

The digital profile can include important information such as:

• Pet name and photo
• Emergency contact information
• Medical or dietary notes
• Veterinarian information
• Care instructions
• Additional pet details chosen by the owner

HOW DOES THE SMART TAG WORK?

Our smart tags use NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.

To access the profile:

1. Unlock your smartphone

2. Hold the top/back of your phone near the smart tag

3. A notification or link should appear automatically

4. Tap the notification to open the pet profile

No app download is required for most compatible devices.

DOES THE TAG REQUIRE BATTERIES?

No.

Our smart tags are battery-free and do not require charging.

IS THIS A GPS TRACKER?

No.

Made with Corazón Smart Tags are not GPS tracking devices and do not provide live location tracking.

The tags are designed to help someone quickly access your pet’s profile and contact information if your pet is found.

WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD I INCLUDE?

We recommend including only information necessary for pet identification and emergency recovery, such as:

• Pet name
• Contact phone number
• Emergency contact
• Allergies or important medical alerts
• Feeding or care instructions

We strongly recommend avoiding unnecessary sensitive personal information.

CAN I UPDATE MY PET’S PROFILE?

Yes.

You can update your pet’s profile information at any time through your account dashboard.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY PHONE OR ACCOUNT ACCESS?

WHAT DEVICES ARE COMPATIBLE?

Most modern smartphones support NFC functionality, including many:

Some older devices or devices with NFC disabled may not support automatic tag reading.

DO USERS NEED AN APP?

No.

Most users can access the pet profile directly through their smartphone’s NFC reader without downloading an app.

CAN THE PROFILE BE PRIVATE?

Certain profile information may be publicly visible to anyone who taps or scans the smart tag.

We recommend sharing only information you are comfortable making accessible for emergency pet recovery purposes.
