Does the finder need a special app to scan the tag?
No. Any modern smartphone natively reads the tag. They simply tap their phone to the Pet ID tag, and your pet’s profile opens in their web browser.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. The smart chip is permanently sealed inside the clay and a protective layer of UV resin. It's built to handle rain, mud, and everyday splashes. To keep the hardware and finish looking their best for years, we just recommend avoiding long term soaking or deep water swimming.
Does the tag need a battery?
No. The chip is passive, meaning it gets its power from the phone that scans it. It will never need to be charged and will work for the life of the tag.
How do I set up my pet's profile?
We take care of that for you. When you order, you’ll provide your pet’s essential details, and we’ll pre-load your tag before it leaves our studio. Your tag arrives ready to protect your pet the moment you clip it to their collar.
Can I change the contact information later?
For our current collection, your information is permanently encoded and sealed to ensure maximum durability. We are currently developing a new system for our future releases that will allow those tags to be modified. For now, each piece is crafted as a permanent, hand-sculpted original.
